Inspired by conversations between Emirati Ambassador Yousef Al Otaiba and Jonathan Greenblatt, CEO of the Anti-Defamation League, the Manara Centre is a new initiative that will promote tolerance and coexistence while creating opportunities for cross-cultural collaboration.

Ambassador Al Otaiba was joined by Special Olympics Chairman Tim Shriver for a special screening of the “As Far As They Can Run” docu-short film that follows the lives of three young Pakistanis with intellectual disabilities.

Over 250 US mayors gathered at the UAE Embassy in Washington, DC, for an annual summit on urban policies and goals. Muriel Bowser, DC Mayor, commended Yousef Al Otaiba for being a “good friend” to the DC community.
