Yousef Al Otaiba, United Arab Emirates ambassador to the United States, spoke at RAND Corporation in June 2016 on the diversification of the Emirati economy and how cooperation with the US has led to partnerships like New York University Abu Dhabi, which prepares young people to become Rhodes scholars rather than radicals.

As part of a forum hosted by the Brookings Institution’s Arms Control and Non-Proliferation Initiative, Ambassador Yousef Al Otaiba joined a panel to discuss how the Iran nuclear deal could affect proliferation in the Middle East and around the world.

Ambassador Al Otaiba spoke at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, DC, about current crises facing the Middle East, including the continuing struggles against the Islamic State and the recent nuclear deal with Iran. The discussion was the first part of a speaker series focused on Middle East relations, and it was moderated by Dr. John Hamre, President and CEO of CSIS.
