Ambassador Al Otaiba welcomed guests, including UN Ambassador Mike Waltz, Dr Mehmet Oz and Senators Joni Ernst, John Fetterman, Mark Warner and Amy Klobuchar to a launch party for Bret Baier’s new biography, “To Rescue the American Spirit: Teddy Roosevelt and the Birth of a Superpower.”

Ambassador Al Otaiba spoke on behalf of the UAE at Children’s National Hospital during the dedication of two new professorships, The People of the United Arab Emirates Distinguished Professorship in Prenatal Pediatrics and the Sheikh Zayed Professorship in Bioengineering.

On January 24, 2023, the US Chamber of Commerce hosted HE Yousef Al Otaiba, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the United States, for an exclusive roundtable discussion. Since his appointment in 2008 and promotion to Minister of State in 2017, Ambassador Al Otaiba has played a pivotal role in advancing the UAE-US partnership through economic, cultural, security and philanthropic initiatives.
