Yousef Al Otaiba greeted guests attending the UAE Embassy’s Annual Interfaith Iftar during the holy month of Ramadan. In his opening remarks, the Ambassador touched on the UAE’s culture of acceptance, coexistence and inclusion.

Ambassador Al Otaiba was joined by Special Olympics Chairman Tim Shriver for a special screening of the “As Far As They Can Run” docu-short film that follows the lives of three young Pakistanis with intellectual disabilities.

Over 250 US mayors gathered at the UAE Embassy in Washington, DC, for an annual summit on urban policies and goals. Muriel Bowser, DC Mayor, commended Yousef Al Otaiba for being a “good friend” to the DC community.

Yousef Al Otaiba joined a two-day conference hosted by TRENDS Research and Advisory and the Atlantic Council’s Scowcroft Middle East Security Initiative.

One year later, The Wilson Center hosted Ambassador Yousef Al Otaiba along with key players in the Abraham Accords to discuss the impact of the normalization deal and the new era of Arab-Israeli relations.
